From a kitchen in Kerala to kitchens across India.
It all started in a small kitchen in Kochi. Biju Krishnan grew up watching his mother grind fresh spices on a stone mortar every morning. The aroma of roasted black pepper, the warmth of turmeric, and the tang of homemade pickles were the backdrop to his childhood.
Years later, after moving to Bangalore for work, Biju realized that the spices available in supermarkets could never match the flavors he grew up with. The store-bought powders were often stale, adulterated, or simply lacking character. He knew there had to be a better way.
2018
The Spark
In 2018, Biju returned to Kerala with a mission. He visited pepper plantations in Wayanad, turmeric farms in Idukki, and cardamom estates in Munnar. He met farmers who were passionate about their craft but struggled to reach customers directly. Biju saw an opportunity to bridge this gap.
2020
Growing Together
What began as a one-person operation packaging spices in his mother's kitchen has grown into a team of 20+ dedicated members. We now work directly with over 50 farming families, ensuring fair prices for their produce and the highest quality for our customers.

Looking Ahead
Today, Biju's Greenleaf serves customers in every corner of India. But our journey is far from over. We are expanding our product range, investing in sustainable packaging, and building deeper connections with the farming communities that make it all possible.
